i want to upgrade my suspension, but don’t want coil overs. have anyone tried putting the shocks and coils for an ae 100 Toyota on a g200 ? and if yes how does it handle on the road.

here in Australia we commonally use King Springs and Monroe or KYB shocks as they are readily available on shelf. handling is improved a fair bit over standard.

If upgrading for improved handling leave the front alone and first go with a much stiffer rear. Double or even triple the spring rate. If you really want to keep playing try stiffer front. Likely a stiffer front will make it understeer terribly. Soft front maximises weight transfer to the front, less wheel spin and better drive out of corners

Didn’t cost that much for a mate to take his car around to King springs and they sorted out the suspension for him. Went thru a few different front springs and took heaps of leaves out of the rear then reset them.
